After reviewing different lines and angles using football terms, we played a new review game to prepare for the math test tomorrow. Working in groups, students competed to finish ten math problems correctly. Each group had a designated writer and a runner. The runner was responsible for coming to me to get a question. Once the team solved the question, the runner brought the whiteboard with the answer to me. If it was correct, they would get the next question. The students did so well with this game! The competed until the end - it was a close race. This review game is definitely a keeper!
I also had two students test out another new app that I heard about at the conference I attended. While I had heard about QR scavenger hunts before, I decided to give one a try. These students did an excellent job working together to complete the scavenger hunt. They kept my phone safe and did a great job recording their answers. :) They even went back to check their answers when they realized they had made a mistake. I am so excited about all the fun learning that can take place with this!
