Our snowman writing assignment fit right in with all the snow from last week. Students responded to a prompt asking what they would do if a snowman they built came to life. Using the story Snowmen at Night as inspiration, the students used their imagination to describe their snowmen, tell what activities they would do together, and what happened to their snowmen at the end of the day. Their responses are currently displayed in the hall.
Third grade also had the chance to attend the 4-8 Spelling Bee on Friday. It was a long event - almost two hours. The third grade students were WONDERFUL! They just might have been the most behaved class there - talk about one happy teacher! :) The fourth grade teacher, and coordinator of the Spelling Bee, Mrs. Gregorini even complimented them on their behavior.
