Before Jesus suffered and died, he led three of his friends up a mountain. When Jesus and his friends were alone, Jesus appeared in glory - his face began to shine and his robes became white. Peter, James, and John were speechless! While they watched Jesus, two prophets who had died appeared. They were talking with Jesus. Peter, James, and John could not believe it! Peter even asked Jesus if they could built tents on the mountain since he did not want to leave. Jesus tells Peter, James, and John not to tell anyone about what happened until He had risen from the dead. Peter, James, and John were very confused.
How would you have reacted if you had been there with Peter, James, and John? Jesus told them not to tell anyone about their experience until after the Resurrection. Do you think it was hard for them to keep it a secret? Would you have wanted to tell everyone about what you had seen?
